How in the world do you made the graphite that dark? I can't...

It was 2B density. Pretty soft and dark :D
All you have to do is go over it again and again until it's the shade you like.

Explain Bristol?
My paper is lightly textured.

Bristol is like, not textured AT ALL. ^^; It is completely smooth and good for graphite masterpieces. It usually comes in pads. You can find them in art stores. :D

Non-textured paper is good for details in sharp pencil, however, like how I did with Lupine Melody :D
